Role Overview: Sales Roamers work in pairs to sell 50/50 tickets throughout the festival grounds. This is a fun, social role—perfect to sign up for with a friend!

Duties
- Sell 50/50 tickets using electronic device
- Ensure accuracy of sale and customer information
- Represent the festival in a friendly and professional manner

Role Overview: Artist Liaisons support performers, managers, and their teams throughout the festival. You will help welcome and orient artists to all backstage and hospitality areas, ensuring they feel comfortable and taken care of during their time on-site.
Key Responsibilities: Greet artists and managers upon arrival. Provide orientation to backstage spaces, dressing rooms, hospitality zones, and instrument lock-up. Offer safe and reliable on-site transportation for performers, their management, and guests—moving them between locations such as stages, instrument lock-up, and the festival merchandise tent. Maintain a professional, friendly, and discreet presence at all times.
Duties
- Assist with set up/tear down of area
- Be professional and respectful “No Star Struck Fans”
- As assigned per: Artist Liaison teams reception, hospitality, security, area replenishment, and maintenance
- Liaison with SAFMS staff, instrument lock-up, site transport, and performers/bands, various crews
- Set up dressing rooms, clean and replenish supplies
- Keep area clean, tidy and organized

Role Overview: Volunteers help set up and tear down festival backstage areas. This is a hands-on, physically active role, and some late-night shifts are required.
Shift Details: Pre-festival setup occurs during the week before the festival. Post-festival teardown occurs immediately after the festival.

Role Overview: Bar Staff serve alcohol safely and provide friendly customer service.
Shift Details: Event shifts run Friday through Sunday and you must choose either a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival.
Duties
- Serve alcohol (max 2 per person)
- Tear ALL drink tickets in ½ so they can’t be picked up and used again
- Keep area/tables clean, pick up garbage
- Run stock to the bar
- Store inventory at end of shift
- Collect cups, sort and bag cans

Role Overview: Box Office volunteers manage ticket sales, wrist banding and customer service at the festival entrance. This role involves interacting with patrons, handling transactions accurately, and helping ensure a smooth festival experience.
Key Requirements: Previous POS (Point-of-Sale) knowledge is preferred.
Comfortable interacting with patrons in a friendly, outgoing manner.
Shift Details: Event shifts run Thursday through Sunday and you must choose either a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival if not working Thursday.

- Sell festival tickets
- Secure wristbands to patrons accordingly
- Represent the festival in a friendly and professional manner
- Keep box office clean and organized
- Closing crew must clean up the box office area for morning crew
- Distribute sponsorship packages as needed
Physical Requirement: Must be physically fit.
Role Overview: Welcome campers, check them in, provide wristbands, and conduct general campground walk-throughs.
Shift Details: Event shifts run Thursday through Sunday. Thursday and Friday shifts are required.
Duties
- Provide camping wristbands to those on check-in list
- Remove garbage & recycling from campsite throughout the event and after departure of campers
- Walk through site and respond to any arising issues
- Tear down; remove & roll fencing, remove & stack layout sticks
Physical Requirement: Must be physically fit.
Role Overview: Assist with campsite layout by pounding stakes, numbering sites, installing snow fencing as needed, and helping set up equipment such as sinks and environmental stations.
Shift Details: Must be available for shifts between JULY 14 – JULY 22, 2026. Exact shift days will be determined prior to JULY by the Head Supervisor. Festival Days OFF!
Duties
- Pound stakes for camping layout
- Label each campsite with a corresponding number
- Set up snow fencing, if required
- Assist with setting up other camping equipment such as sinks, environment stations etc

Role Overview: The Infrastructure Crew supports festival setup and teardown by assembling tents, distributing tables and chairs, attaching shade cloth to fences, and assisting with general tasks as needed.
Shift Details: Hours are divided between the week before and the week after the festival. Festival days off!

Role Overview: Support the festival store by assisting with setup and teardown, operating POS systems, promoting and selling merchandise, and monitoring stock throughout the event.

Role Overview: Assist festival staff by answering phone inquiries and helping ensure smooth communication and organization behind the scenes.

Role Overview: Festival ambassadors, welcoming attendees, answering questions, providing directions, and sharing key festival policies such as chair height and tarp size. You will assist with accessibility services for patrons during the festival weekend, ensuring that guests with accessibility needs are supported and providing festival information and schedules as required to ensure a positive experience for all.

- Be a festival ambassador and create a positive experience
- Welcome patrons to the festival grounds

Role Overview: Assist artists and their teams by providing safe and reliable transportation between airports, hotels, and festival sites. You will perform vehicle pre-trip inspections and help load and unload instruments and luggage to ensure smooth and efficient transport throughout the festival.
Shift Details: Shifts occur the week before the festival, during the festival, and for post-festival trips as required.

Age Requirement: Must be 16+
Skills: Experience in photography and/or videography required, experience capturing music festivals is an asset.
Role Overview: Use your own equipment to capture photos and/or video of festival setup, pre-festival concerts, and the festival itself. In some cases, a phone with a high-quality camera may be used. Provide links to social media or professional websites that highlight your work. A shot list and areas of focus will be provided by the Marketing Coordinator. Editing footage may be required and final content will be delivered to the Marketing Coordinator for use in promotion of the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society and associated events.
Shift Details: Shifts occur the week of the festival, Friday though Sunday during the festival and post festival as needed for editing footage.

Role Overview: Bar Staff serve alcohol safely and provide friendly customer service.

Role Overview: Responsible for installing and removing signage throughout the festival site. Help ensure signs are clearly visible, accurate, and strategically located to guide attendees and support smooth festival operations.

Duties
- Handling fragile items. Must handle with care
- Responsible for installing and disassembling signage around festival grounds
Training/Certification: Forklift certification an asset. Two-way radio experience.
Shift Expectations: Some late-night shifts required.
Role Overview: Deliver ice and water to all areas of the festival grounds, move furniture, sound equipment, food, and supplies throughout the festival grounds. You will provide a courtesy shuttle for patrons with limited mobility, assist with other transport tasks as needed.
Shift Details: Event shifts run Friday through Sunday and you must choose either a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival.

- Transport furniture, sound equipment, food, and supplies
- Provide a courtesy shuttle for limited mobility patrons, and parents with kids
- Complete other transport tasks as required
- Help move supplies to volunteer party on Sunday
Skills: Knowledge of sound equipment is an asset. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Stage plot experience is an asset. Must be able to take direction.
Shift Expectations: Some late-night shifts required. Shifts during the event can occur from Monday to Sunday, scheduled accordingly to stage needs.
Role Overview: Support festival performances by preparing stages, setting up and tearing down music equipment, and lifting or moving heavy gear. You will work in a fast-paced environment to help ensure performances run smoothly and safely.
**You will be assigned to a specific Stage Crew area once accepted. Returning volunteers are encouraged to note their previous area.

Role Overview: Serve beverages in appropriate portions, check tasting tickets, and assist with opening liquor bottles. You will help with setup and teardown of the area, lift heavy boxes and ice, and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Shift Details: Shifts during the event occur on Saturday and Sunday, with lengths determined by the Head Supervisor. Some shifts may exceed 4 hours. Coordinate with your Head Supervisor regarding your schedule.

Role Overview: Help set up and decorate the party area, serve alcohol responsibly, and manage food and drink stock. You will maintain a clean and organized space throughout the event and assist with teardown after the party.
Shift Details: Volunteers must set up before the Volunteer After Party and assist with tear-down on Monday morning. Availability after the festival; MUST be available SUNDAY NIGHT and MONDAY MORNING
Duties
- Set up and decorate for the party
- Serve alcohol
- All drink tickets must be torn in 1⁄2 so they can’t be picked up and used again
- Manage food stock and keep bar stocked
- Keep area tidy at all times, wipe tables and pick up garbage
- Help tear down after the party
Training/Certification: Food Safe Certificate is strongly Recommended.
Role Overview: greet volunteers – help them feel welcome, serve bunwiches, snacks and drinks, cut vegetables and fruit/other food preparation, ensure kitchen area and the lounge itself are always clean and tidy, fulfill all Interior Health requirements and follow guidelines under supervision of Head Supervisor
