Qualifications

Duties

  • Sell 50/50 tickets using electronic device
  • Ensure accuracy of sale and customer information
  • Represent the festival in a friendly and professional manner
  • Keep electronic device secure when on shift

Festival Days: (Some Thursday shifts required) Friday to Sunday, and either a set up shift pre-festival OR a tear down shift after the festival. Must attend one pre-festival meeting.

Duties

  • Assist with set up/tear down of area
  • Be professional and respectful “No Star Struck Fans”
  • As assigned per: Artist Liaison teams reception, hospitality, security, area replenishment, and maintenance 
  • Liaison with SAFMS staff, instrument lock-up, site transport, and performers/bands, various crews
  • Set up dressing rooms, clean and replenish supplies
  • Keep area clean, tidy and organized

Festival Days: Week before and after the festival; Some late night shifts required. Must attend one pre-festival meeting

Duties

  • Move and clean furniture
  • Hang lighting
  • Ensure decoration correlates to festival theme

Festival Days: Thursday to Sunday, and either a Wednesday set up shift OR a Monday tear down shift if not working Thursday. Some late night shifts required.

Qualifications

  • Serving It Right Certification required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items

 

Duties

  • Serve alcohol (max 2 per person)
  • Tear ALL drink tickets in ½ so they can’t be picked up and used again
  • Keep area/tables clean, pick up garbage
  • Run stock to the bar
  • Store inventory at end of shift
  • Collect cups, sort and bag cans

Festival Days: Thursday to Sunday, and either a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival, if not working Thursday. Some late night shifts required

Duties

  • Selling drink tickets
  • ID Patrons
  • Operate POS Machines, training provided
  • Ensure tickets are in numerical order

Festival Days: Friday to Sunday, and either a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival. Some late night shifts required

  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items

Duties

  • Serve alcohol (max 2 per person)

Duties

  • Sell festival tickets
  • Secure wristbands to patrons accordingly
  • Represent the festival in a friendly and professional manner
  • Keep box office clean and organized
  • Closing crew must clean up the box office area for morning crew
  • Hand out Media/Sponsorship packages

Festival Days: Thursday to Sunday. Thursday and Friday availability is necessary. Please specify if you are additionally available Monday to Wednesday.

Duties

  • Check-in campers
  • Provide camping wristbands to those on check-in list
  • Remove refuse & recycling from campsite throughout the event and after departure of campers
  • Walk through site and respond to any arising issues
  • Tear down; remove & roll fencing, remove & stack layout sticks

Must be available for shifts from August 7th to 18th
Exact days will be determined prior to August
Festival days OFF

Qualifications

  • Responsible
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to bend, walk and lift

Duties

  • Pound stakes for camping layout
  • Label each campsite with a corresponding number
  • Set up snow fencing, if required
  • Assist with setting up other camping equipment such as sinks, environment stations etc

Festival Days: Friday to Sunday, and either a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival

Qualifications

  • Responsible
  • Child minding experience
  • Experience with arts and crafts

Duties

  • Assist with set up/ tear down of area
  • Play games, face painting, and creating arts/crafts
  • Volunteers must be responsible to make sure children arriving with a parent(s) or guardian(s) do not leave by themselves. Notify parents must stay within sight.
  • Keep area clean, tidy and organized

Privately Recruited

Qualifications

  • Valid First Aid Certificate or professional certification
  • Friendly and attentive

Duties

  • Treat anyone requiring First Aid
  • In a rare situation, you may be required to stabilize someone with a critical injury and monitor that person until an ambulance arrives
  • Assist onsite EMT if asked

Festival Days Watering ONLY
32 Hours from May to August. Hours determined by volunteer with feedback from Volunteer Coordinator.

Qualifications

  • Must have own truck
  • Physically fit with ability to lift wheelbarrows, shovel, weed
  • Must be reliable and a self starter

Duties

  • Weed the planters and prepare them for new flowers
  • Plant flowers into large planters
  • Water and maintain planters up to and throughout the festival

Duties

  • Welcome patrons as they arrive and act as a festival ambassador
  • Ensure gate traffic flows smoothly

  • Maintain a presence to ensure a welcoming and safe environment

Festival Days: Friday to Sunday, and a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival

Duties

  • Deliver water stations to all areas during set up
  • Deliver ice & water
  • Inventory & clean area during tear down

Duties

  • Exchange tickets for wristbands at West Gate

Festival days OFF

Qualifications

  • Physically fit with ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
  • Carpentry skills considered an asset
  • Equipment operating and stage craft experience is an asset

Duties

  • Set up/tear down tents
  • Distribute tables and chairs
  • Attach shade cloth to fences
  • Help with various tasks as required

Duties

Qualifications

  • Must have current Class 4 Drivers License
  • Must have clean drivers abstract, and must submit to participate
  • Must be responsible and extremely professional

Duties

  • Pick up and drop off performers at airport, hotel, around town
  • Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections
  • Move instruments and luggage in and out of vehicle

Festival Days: Friday to Sunday, and a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid drivers license
  • Experience operating equipment
  • Be at least 25 years old to be a vehicle operator
  • Physically fit with ability to lift heavy items
  • Two-way radio experience

Duties

  • Transport furniture, sound equipment, food, and supplies
  • Provide a courtesy shuttle for limited mobility patrons, and parents with kids
  • Complete other transport tasks as required
  • Help move supplies to volunteer party on Sunday

Festival Days: Thursday to Sunday with shifts scheduled accordingly to stage needs. Some late nights required

  • Provide information to volunteers and patrons
  • Hand out t-shirts, ID name tag, parking pass to volunteers, meal tickets

  • Act as a festival ambassador and provide support to patrons accordingly
  • Inform patrons about festival chair height policy

Festival Days: Friday to Sunday and a set up shift before the festival OR a tear down shift after the festival

Duties

  • Assist with set up or tear down including cleaning of areas
  • Greet volunteers – help them feel welcome
  • Serve bunwiches on Friday
  • Serve snacks and drinks
  • Cut vegetables and fruit/other food preparation
  • Ensure kitchen area, lounge bathroom, and the lounge itself are always clean and tidy
  • Fulfill all Interior Health requirements and follow guidelines

Festival Days: Sunday Evening to Late
Set up before the festival AND one tear down shift on Monday after the festival
MUST be available SUNDAY NIGHT and MONDAY MORNING

  • Keep area tidy at all times, wipe tables and pick up garbage
  • Help tear down after the party
