In Paris, in the 1930’s, Django Reinhardt emerged as one of the finest guitarists ever to play the instrument.  Saskatoon’s Gypsy Jazz trio, Sons of Django, pays homage to Django’s original stylings of “Le Jazz Hot,” while adding their own contemporary touches to this popular genre. The trio has attended the Northwest Djangofest on Whidbey Island in Washington State — a gathering of Gypsy Jazz musicians and fans from all over North America.
Sons of Django are: Lorne Deighton (rhythm guitar), Stephen Davis (lead guitar) and Emmett Fortoski (bass)
