2023 Festival Ticket FAQ
Thank you for your patience and understanding. Canceling the 31st annual ROOTSandBLUES Festival was unprecedented in our organization’s history and it has taken our staff and board some time to determine the ticket refund and donation process.
If you purchased tickets to the 2023 festival, you will have received a ticket refund survey by email Tuesday, Sept. 26 and had until October 24, 2023 to complete the survey. The refund survey in now CLOSED.
ROOTSandBLUES is where our friends, family and community meet once a year to create everlasting memories. Despite this year’s festival being cut short, we will make every effort to present the 32nd annual festival in the way we have all come to know and love.

*Please note: all types of tickets can be 100% donated to the ROOTSandBLUES Festival. A tax receipt will be issued soon. If you opt for a partial refund, the remainder of your ticket price will go towards putting on the 2024 festival. Only those who are eligible for a refund will receive an email link to the survey.
Partial or full refunds will be processed in November 2023. We thank you for your patience during this time.
The 2023 festival was cancelled on Saturday, August 19 due to the escalating wildfire situation throughout the surrounding area and the safety and well being of attendees, volunteers, artists, contractors, suppliers, and staff.
- The ROOTSandBLUES is produced by the Salmon Arm Folk Music Society (SAFMS), a non-profit charity, and is largely funded by revenue generated from previous festivals. For example, revenue from the 31st festival in 2023 is reinvested to produce the 32nd event in 2024. In addition to ticket sales the SAFMS applies for funding from all three levels of government.
Your ticket donation will go directly to the planning and presentation of the 32nd annual ROOTSandBLUES Festival in 2024
No, Beverage Tickets are not eligible for a refund.
No, transferring tickets to the 2024 festival is not available.
Friday of the 2023 festival was not canceled and as such Friday tickets are not eligible for refund.
- If you purchased your tickets at the Main Box Office please email clerical@rootsandblues.ca or call the office at 250-833-4096. You will need to provide the name of the person who purchased the ticket, what type of ticket(s) you purchased and the last 4 digits of the debit/credit card that was used for the purchase
If you purchased your ticket from a 3rd party and the ticket was transferred to you, you will need to get in contact with that person or 3rd party. Roots and Blues is not responsible for 3rd party ticket sales and has no ability to track and or refund those tickets

Absolutely. When you fill out your Ticket Refund Survey you will be able to indicate a patrial donation of your Maximum Eligible Refund amount.
Yes. Our ticketing system will issue you the appropriate charitable donation tax receipt soon.
If you have requested a ticket refund through your personalized Ticket Refund Survey (sent to all ticket purchaser emails September 26, 2023) please be patient, refunds will show up in November.
All refunds or partial refunds will be processed in November 2023.
